  Viparita Virabhadrasana
Reverse Warrior
 
From Warrior II keep the lower body still and raise your right arm up towards the sky as you gently rest your left hand on your left leg.
 
Press firmly through your feet and keep your right knee stacked over your right ankle.  Keep your left leg straight and strong.  Make sure your back foot is completely flat on the floor.  Lift up through the rib cage and heart, reaching high toward the sun with your right hand.  Begin to bend deeper to the left.  This posture is a side bend, not a backbend.
 
Virparita Virabhadrasana strengthens your ankles, thighs, glutes, abdominals, shoulders and back.  It opens your hips and intercostal muscles, as well as the latissimus dorsi.
 
Viparita Virabhadrasana opens and balances the 2nd chakra.
